[leucine-rich repeat-containing G-protein-coupled receptor 7] The receptor is being referred to also as RXFP1 [relaxin family peptide receptor 1]. Feng et al (2005) have reported that the INSL3 / LGR8 and relaxin / LGR7 pathways are distinct and separate in vivo and have proposed to rename LGR8 as INSL3R (INSL3 receptor) and LGR7 as RLNR (relaxin receptor). The approved gene symbol is RXFP1 [relaxin family peptide receptor 1]. An older designation is RXFPR1.
