[lymphocyte growth enhancing factor] This biochemically uncharacterized factor is found in the conditioned medium of the human myeloid cell line HL-60 (Abolhassani and Chiao, 1991). It is a costimulating factor that enhances the growth of mitogen-stimulated T-cells.

The activity cannot be neutralized by antibodies directed against IL1, IL2, IL3 and IL6.
