LERK2

[Ligand of eph-related kinase-2] Human and rat LERK2 are type 1 transmembrane proteins and show 95 % identity at the protein level. Soluble forms also exist. LERK2 is the same as Ephrin B1 (see also: ephrins).

LERK2 has been shown to bind to HEK2 [human embryo kinase-2] (see: HEK). Membrane-bound LERK2 ligand has been shown also to signal through Cek5, Cek10 and Elk but not with Cek9 receptor. Cek10 appears to be the preferred LERK2 receptor.
