Neuronal apoptosis inhibitor protein 2 |
||
This antitumor protein has been identified as hemopexin by Torikai et al (1981). LB levels are increased in the serum of mice treated with the biological response modifier OK-432. LB enhances tumor cell killing and binding by OK-432-elicited macrophages. Thus, increases in serum levels of hemopexin may play a role in the host-mediated anticancer peptide activity of certain antitumor drugs.
