abbr. KRM. Two KREMEN proteins have been identified. They are KREMEN1 [kringle containing transmembrane protein 1] (abbr. also: KRM1) (Nakamura et al, 2001), and KREMEN2 [kringle containing transmembrane protein 2] (abbr. also: KRM2) (Mao et al, 2002). Both proteins are transmembrane proteins that contain a kringle domain, a WSC domain, and CUB domains in their extracellular regions.
