[inhibin binding protein] This protein, referred to also as InhBP/p120, is known also as the product of immunoglobulin superfamily gene 1 (abbr. IGSF1; approved gene symbol), which is encoded by a gene on the X chromosome. Two isoforms, InhBP-L and InhBP-S have been described but their function is not known (Mazzarella et al, 1998). Frattini et al (1998) have identified the gene encoding InhBP as IGDC1 [immunoglobulin-like domain-containing 1]. The cDNA has been cloned independently as KIAA0364. A factor of unknown function expressed in the pituitary, designated PGSF2 [
