(-1-) IAP-like protein [Inhibitor of apoptosis-like protein]
The cDNA for this protein has been isolated by Duckett et al (1996). The protein has a length of 497 amino acids (57 kDa) and contains several copies of a BIR domain and a RING finger domain. The protein is being referred to also as ILP-1 following isolation of ILP-2. The protein has been renamed BIRC4 [baculoviral IAP repeat-containing protein-4]. See: IAP.
