Hemopoietin-1

also: Hematopoietin-1; abbr. H1. This factor is found in the conditioned medium of the human tumor cell line 5637 (Bartelmez and Stanley, 1985). It promotes the growth of primitive murine hematopoietic precursor cells (see also: hematopoiesis) in vitro in combination with other colony stimulating factors such as M-CSF, GM-CSF and IL3.

This factor is identical with IL1 (Morrissey and Mochizuki, 1989). abbr. also: HP-1 (a term with multiple meanings). The factors described by Mochizuki et al (1987) and Moore and Warren (1987) are also identical with IL1 ... ... ... ... ... Subscribe to continue reading! ... ...
