[Hyaluronan-binding protein 1] The cDNA for this 34 kDa protein that binds hyaluronic acid and exists normally as an 68 kDa homodimer protein has been cloned by Deb and Datta (1996). Sequence analysis shows that the cDNA sequence is identical to the cDNA encding a splicing factor-associated protein (see: SF2p32 [splicing factor SF2-associated protein]) that, in turn, is identical with C1QBP [complement component 1, q subcomponent binding protein], one of the receptors for complement component C1q.
