FIL1-epsilon
[Family of IL1-epsilon] abbr. also FIL1E. The gene encoding this protein has been cloned by means of its significant sequence similarity to IL1-alpha, IL1-beta, IL1ra, and IL18 (see also: IL1 family). The gene also maintains a conserved exon-intron arrangement that is shared with other members of the family (Smith et al, 2000). The designation IL36-alpha [interleukin-36-alpha] has been proposed for this term (Dinarello et al, 2010). The approved gene symbol is IL36A.
The same gene has been described by other authors as IL1H1 or IL1-epsilon. The protein is being referred to also as IL1F6 [
