This protein is related to DRAM1 [DNA-damage-regulated autophagy modulator 1]. DRAM2 displays 45 % identity and 67 % conservation when compared to DRAM. DRAM2 is different from DRAM as it not induced by p53 or the p53-like transcription factor TP73 [tumor protein p73].
