[cytokine-dependent hemopoietic cell linker] This protein of 76 kDa contains an SH2 domain. Expression is detected in several cell types, including T-cells, natural killer cells, and mast cells. Its expression appears to be strictly dependent on sustained exposure to cytokines such as IL2 and IL3. The protein is involved in a cross-talk mechanism between cytokine receptors and immunoreceptor signaling. Yu et al (2001) have reported that in activated T-cells and myeloid cells Clnk interacts with HPK-1, a serine/threonine-specific protein kinase expressed in hemopoietic cells
