[CX3C chemokine receptor 1] new designation for the fractalkine receptor (Zlotnik et al, 2000). For another systematic nomenclature of these receptors and their ligands see also: SCY family of cytokines.

CX3CR1 has been identified as the human receptor for Fractalkine (Imai et al, 1997; Combadiere et al, 1998). The receptor is known also as V28 (Raport et al, 1995) or CMKBRL1 [chemokine beta receptor-like-1] (Combadiere et al, 1998). A databank synonym is GPR13 [G-protein-coupled receptor-13].
