CTRP9B

[C1q/TNF-related protein 9B] CTRP9B is a member of the CTRP family (see: C1q family). It is characterized by the presence of a C1q domain as found in complement factor C1q. The approved gene symbol for this protein is C1QTNF9B [Complement C1q tumor necrosis factor-related protein 9B, C1q and tumor necrosis factor related protein 9B].

Human CTRP9B has been identified by Peterson et al (2009). The gene is absent in the mouse genome. CTRP9B shares 98 % amino acid identity with CTRP9 (renamed CTRP9A), but both proteins are encoded by distinct genes and are biochemically distinct.
