In the nomenclature of CD antigens this designation has been given to human Cadherin-2, which is known also as Neural cadherin or N-cadherin and has been described originally as the adherens junction cellular adhesion molecule A-CAM. The protein is being referred to also as CDHN [neural calcium-dependent adhesion protein]. The old CD antigen designation was CDw325.
