[CD200 receptor] This cell surface glycoprotein receptor for the cell surface antigen CD200 has been identified by Wright et al (2000) on macrophages. The authors refer to this receptor as OX2 receptor (OX2R). Another designation is MOX2 receptor (MOX2R). Expression appears to be restricted to cells of the myeloid lineage. Blockade of the interactions between this receptor and CD200 exacerbates the disease model experimental allergic encephalomyelitis.
