[Burkitt lymphoma antigen; Burkitt's lymphoma-associated antigen] In the nomenclature of CD antigens this protein has been given the designation CD77.
This antigen (38-13 antigen) is defined by a monoclonal rat IgM 38-13 (Wiels et al, 1982). It reacts with most Burkitt's lymphoma derived lines, either containing the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) or not, but not reacting with EBV-positive lymphoblastoid cell lines.
