[Blood dendritic cell antigen 4] Dzionek A et al (2002) have shown that BDCA-4 is identical with neuropilin-1 (NP-1), a neuronal receptor for the axon guidance factors belonging to the class-3 semaphorin subfamily, and a receptor on endothelial cells and tumor cells for VEGF-A. In blood and bone marrow, BDCA-4 is expressed on plasmacytoid dendritic cells. It is expressed also on follicular B helper T-cells.
