[B-cell activation marker 1] This murine antigen, which is widely expressed on leukocytes, is a homolog of human CD48, which is a ligand of CD2. The gene has been cloned by Wong et al (1990). Cabrero et al (1993) have demonstrated that BCM1 is identical with sgp-60 and that this antigen is the murine homolog of CD48.
