[surface glycoprotein 60] This murine antigen has been identified by Reiser (1990). sgp-60 is expressed on virtually all lymphocytes of both T-cell and B-cell origin. The antigen participates in cell activation of CD4(+) T-cells through the T-cell receptor / CD3 complex. Engagement of sgp-60 with a specific monoclonal antibody can inhibit IL2 production, IL2 receptor expression, and T-cell proliferation.
