[analgesic-antitumor peptide]; frequently BmK AGAP [Buthus martensii Karsch analgesic-antitumor peptide] This peptide of 66 amino acids has been purified originally from the venom of the scorpion Buthus martensii Karsch. The cDNA has been cloned by Liu et al (2003). Antinociceptive activities of AGAP have been demonstrated in several animal studies (Ruan et al, 2018; Liu et al, 2003; Li et al, 2016).
