AD2 is a protein of 36 kDA identified as 13H12 antigen by a monoclonal antibody of the same name (Bruggers et al, 1995) (a monoclonal antibody designation that, unfortunately, has been used also for other monoclonal antibodies). AD2 is expressed highly on HSB-cells (T-cell ALL), but not on H9 T-cells (CTCL cell line). Antibody 13H12 inhibits the binding of HSB T-cells to epidermal keratinocytes or peripheral blood T-cells treated with IFN-gamma, and inhibits the binding of IFN-gamma-treated human thymic epithelial cells to thymocytes. AD2 is expressed at a low level on all
