A2MR

[Alpha-2-Macroglobulin receptor] this is the previous gene designation for the receptor for Alpha-2-Macroglobulin. The identity of A2MR with Low density lipoprotein receptor-related protein ((approved gene symbol: LRP1 [Low density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 1]) has been reported by Kristensen et al (1990) and Strickland et al (1990).

In the nomenclature of CD antigens this protein has been given the designation CD91.
