Also: lactoglobulin-beta(33-42). This peptide is a subfragment of beta-lactoglobulin with the sequence DAQSAPLRVY (Asp-Ala-Gln-Ser-Ala-Pro-Leu-Arg-Val-Tyr). It is obtained by proteolytic digestion of whey protein concentrates. The peptide is a potent inhibitor of angiotensin-1 converting enzyme (CD143) but does not remain stable in the presence of gastrointestinal enzymes (Tavares et al (2011).
