axl
A protein tyrosine kinase called also UFO or ark. tyro7 [tyrosine-protein kinase 7] is a previously used gene symbol for the receptor axl. The gene has been identified independently as JTK11.
The ligand for this receptor is GPF (growth-potentiating factor). The ligand is called also AXLLG [axl receptor tyrosine kinase ligand] or AXSF [axl stimulatory factor], which is identical with one of the gas genes, gas-6.
