this peptide with the sequence RELKDLK [Arg-Glu-Leu-Lys-Asp-Leu-Lys] has been obtained from alpha-lactalbumin by proteolytic digestion. Jacquot et al (2010) have reported that the synthetic peptide also stimulates proliferation of murine splenocytes, demonstrating a potential influence on immune responses.
