ZnBP
[zinc-binding protein] This rat protein reversibly inactivates phosphofructokinase-1 in a Zn2+-dependent manner. The sequence (Trompeter et al, 1989) and cloning (Trompeter and Söling, 1992) show that the protein is identical with parathymosin-alpha. See subentry parathymosin-alpha under Thymic hormones. The protein has been shown to be identical also with MTI-II [Macromolecular translocation inhibitor II]
