abbr. UCN3 (UCNIII) This peptide (FTLSLDVPTNIMNLLFNIAKAKNLRAQAAANAHLMAQIamide) is known also as stresscopin (abbr. SCP). It is related to Urocortin-1 and belongs to a protein family that also has corticotropin releasing factor as its member.
The protein has been identified by Hsu and Hsue (2001) as a high-affinity ligand for CRHR2, a receptor for corticotropin releasing hormone.
