[unc-93 homolog B1] This is the same as UNC93 and UNC93B. This protein is a homolog of the unc-93 Caenorhabditis gene involved in the regulation or coordination of muscle contraction (Greenwald and Horvitz, 1980; Levin and Horvitz, 1992). The human cDNA has been cloned by Kashuba et al (2002). UNC93B1 is an endoplasmic reticulum protein with 12 membrane-spanning domains involved in the activation of toll-like receptors and delivers some of these receptors to endolysosomes (Kim et al, 2008).
