(approved gene symbol) [tripartite motif-containing protein 39] The TRIM39 gene has been cloned by Roberts et al (2007). The term TRIM39R refers to a spliced read-through transcript containing several exons of TRIM39 spliced to exons from the downstream RPP21 gene, which encodes a protein subunit of nuclear ribonuclease P. The term TRIM39B refers to a splice variant of TRIM39 lacking exon 7.
