this peptide with the sequence VPGGGTALLRCIPVLDTLSTKNED has been described originally as SjHSP60(437-460) [Schistosoma japonicum hsp60(437-460)] and constitutes a bioactive fragment of the parasite heat shock protein hsp60. The peptide is highly identical to host (murine and human) hsp60 and contains overlapping human and mouse Tcell epitopes (Wang et al, 2009).
