S100G

[S100 calcium binding protein G] S100G is the approved gene symbol. An alternative designation for this protein is CALB3 [calbindin 3] (Howard et al, 1992). The protein is a member of the S100 family of proteins and was described originally as an intestinal calcium-binding protein the expression of which is induced by Vitamin D.
