abbr. RS cells: abbr. HRS cells. Also: Reed-Sternberg giant cells. Called also Sternberg-Reed cells or Hodgkin and Reed-Sternberg cells. These cells are usually multinucleated and are commonly found in Hodgkin's lymphoma, a lymphoma characterized by progressive enlargement of the lymph nodes, spleen, and general lymphoid tissues.
