RNF43

[RING finger protein 43] (databank synonym also: RNF124 [RING finger protein 124]) this designation refers to the presence of a RING finger domain in this protein. The protein has been found to be upregulated in colorectal tumors (Yagyu et al, 2004). It is not expressed in many tissues and only at low levels in fetal kidney and lung. RNF43 is a secreted protein. Expression of the protein in COS7 and NIH 3T3 cells or addition of exogenous protein causes a significant enhancement of cell growth in NIH 3T3 cells.
