[orf virus ORFV024 protein] This protein is encoded by an open reading frame in the genome of orf virus and has been shown to inhibit functions of transcription factor NF-kappa-B. Deletion of ORFV024 has no significant effect on disease severity, progression, and time to resolution in sheep, indicating that ORFV024 is not essential for virus virulence in the natural host.
