OH-2

This human myeloma cell line has been established from pleural fluids of a myeloma patient in end stage of the disease. OH-2 cells produce and secrete monoclonal IgG-kappa into the conditioned medium. The cell line is dependent on IL6 for growth (see also: Factor-dependent cell lines).

OH-2 cells multi-responsive to cytokines. Proliferation of OH-2 myeloma cells is induced strongly by IL6. Intermediate proliferative responses are observed with IL15, IL10 and TNF-alpha.
