This is one of a group of human colon cancer antigens recognized by autologous antibodies. Sequence analysis of the cDNA expression library derived from human tumors shows that the encoded protein is identical with CHIP [Carboxy terminus of Hsp70-interacting protein] (Scanlan et al, 1998).
