NEFA

(an acronym referring to (DNA binding, EF-hand, Acidic region) The cDNA encoding this protein has been isolated by screening cDNA libraries constructed from a human acute lymphoblastic leukemia cell line with a monoclonal antibody directed against CD10 (Barnikol-Watanabe et al (1994). The encoded protein 48 kDa; 420 amino acids) contains a basic amino acid-rich putative DNA-binding domain with a potential nuclear targeting signal, 2 helix-loop-helix motif regions, 2 concurrent EF-hand motifs, an acidic amino acid region between the EF-hands, and a leucine zipper

motif. NEFA has been detected on the plasma membrane, in the cytosol, and in the ... ... ... ... ... Subscribe to continue reading! ... ...
