[Nck-associated protein-4] Don't confuse with NAP-4 [neutrophil-activating protein-4].
The gene encoding this protein has been identified by Matuoka et al (1997). The protein contains an SH2 domain and binds to Nck, ASH (GRB2), and phospholipase C-gamma. The SH2 domain of NAP4 also binds activated and tyrosine-phosphorylated EGF receptor.
Sequence analysis shows that the encoded protein is the same as SOCS7.
