LyeTx I

LyeTx I (IWLTALKFLGKNLGKHLAKQQLAKL) is an antimicrobial peptide isolated from the venom of Lycosa erythrognatha (wolf spider). LyeTx I is highly active against bacteria (Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus) and moderately active against fungi (Candida krusei and Cryptococcus neoformans) and has low hemolytic activity.
