[Ly6G(+), Ly6G(-), Ly6G(high), Ly6G(low)]
[lymphocyte antigen 6G] This murine surface antigen is identical with Gr-1 [granulocyte differentiation antigen 1]. Monoclonal antibodies directed against Ly6G (RB6-8C5, 1A8) detect this marker antigen on granulocytes and neutrophils. Antibodies directed against Ly6G and other markers are used for immunodepletion of mature blood cells (see also: Lineage markers). An older designation for the Ly6 complex, which also includes markers other than Ly6G is Ly27.
