Lipocortin-2

abbr. Lipo2, LPC2, LCT2. This protein has been purified by Huang et al (1986) from placental tissues as an inhibitor of phospholipase A2. The protein has been shown to be expressed in all human and mammalian tissues studied with highest expression in epithelial cells. Sequence analysis shows that this protein is identical with Annexin-2.
