Leucokinins

Leucokinins are a family of structurally related neuropeptides isolated originally from heads of the cockroach Leucophaea maderae.

Leucokinin I (DPAFNSWGamide; Asp-Pro-Ala-Phe-Asn-Ser-Trp-Gly)

Leucokinin II (DPGFSSWGamide; Asp-Pro-Gly-Phe-Ser-Ser-Trp-Gly)

Leucokinin III (DQGFNSWGamide; Asp-Gln-Gly-Phe-Asn-Ser-Trp-Gly) and

Leucokinin IV (DASFHSWGamide; Asp-Ala-Ser-Phe-His-Ser-Trp-Gly) have been described by Holman et al (1986, 1986).
