LIF-A and LIF-B are found in conditioned medium of Krebs II ascites cells. Both factors are probably different glycosylation variants of the same protein, LIF (leukemia inhibitory factor) (Hilton et al, 1988). LIF-A is identical with M1 differentiation inducing activity.
