Jedi (called also Jedi-1) is a transmembrane protein that contains multiple EGF-like repeats. Jedi shares substantial homology with MEGF10 and MEGF11 and is being referred to also as MEGF12 [multiple epidermal growth factor-like domains 12]. The protein has been identified independently as PEAR1 [platelet endothelial aggregation receptor 1], which is also the approved gene symbol. The Drosophila melanogaster homolog has been identified as Draper.
