also: immunocorticotropin (Mitin et al, 1993) and variously reported as ACTH-like Peptide. This decapeptide with the sequence VKKPGSSVKV (Val-Lys-Lys-Pro-Gly-Ser-Ser-Val-Lys-Val) resembles ACTH. It corresponds to amino acids 11-20 of the variable part of the human IgG1 heavy chain (of human gamma-chain or mu-chain) (IgG1 heavy chain (11-20); Immunoglobulin G1 heavy chain (11-20); IgG1 VH (11-20)) (compare also: leukocorticotropin).
Mitin et al (1993) have reported that intracerebroventricular injection of the peptide to rabbits
