IL1Rrp
[IL1 receptor-related protein] also: IL1 receptor-related protein-1 (IL1Rrp1). IL1Rrp is a novel member of the IL1 receptor family cloned by PCR using degenerate oligonucleotide primers derived from regions of sequence conservation with IL1 receptors and T1/ST2, a receptor-like molecule homologous to the Type 1 IL1 receptor (Parnet et al, 1996).
IL1Rrp (541 amino acids) does not bind any of the known IL1 ligands. A chimeric receptor consisting of the extracellular and transmembrane regions of the IL1 receptor and the IL1Rrp cytoplasmic domain responds to IL1.
