[IL1-beta Convertase-related-2] This cysteine protease related to mammalian IL1-beta Convertase and the nematode cell death CED3 gene have been cloned from human monocytic cells. The factor is highly homologous to human ICE (52 % identical) and CED3 (25 % identical). This protease is the same as TX or ICH-2 and is known now as Caspase-4.
