[hydrogen peroxide-potentiating factor] This biochemically uncharacterized factor of 54 kDa (pI = 5.5) is secreted by T-cells. It causes cell activation of human monocytes and monocyte-like cell lines (HL-60, U937), which manifests itself in an increased production of hydrogen peroxide.
