HP0175

[Helicobacter pylori gene 0175] The term HP0175 refers to an open reading frame in the H. pylori genome sequence that shows some homology to Campylobacter jejeuni cell binding protein 2, a term that is used synonymously with HP0175 in some databanks. HP0175 is characterized by a C-terminal peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans-isomerase core sequence identified on the basis of sequence similarity and is being referred to as Helicobacter pylori peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans-isomerase.

HP0175 is one of five antigens of Helicobacter pylori recognized preferentially by the antibodies of patients with gastroduodenal ulcers (Atanassov et al, 2002; McAtee CP et al, 1998).

By virtue of its ability to bind TLR4 HP0175 transactivates EGF receptor ... ... ... ... ... Subscribe to continue reading! ... ...
